The part of the trail between Oštro and Veliki Bokolj is very rocky, so be careful.
The trail called Putem mora i nebeskih visina (To the Sea and Heavenly Heights) is 12.9 km long, and it takes 4:30 hours to walk it. The trail begins in the hamlet of Ždrelac, with the church of St. Luke the Evangelist as one of the attractions. Then, it climbs up t the to the peak of Veliki Bokolj (247 m), which is also the highest peak of the island of Pašman and returns following the same path.
The trail goes then from Ždrelac toward the Matlovac with a beautiful Matlovac beach. It follows a gravel road along the sea and reaches the centre of a hamlet called Banj, where there is a beautiful beach as well as the church of St. Cosmas and Damian. The trail then joins the main road and continues towards the peak of Mali Bokolj, which is located in the hinterland of Banj and which offers a unique experience because of the beautiful vistas of the surrounding area it offers. Ascend to the hill top is possible if you follow a stone path on which the Stations of the Cross are installed. The Church of Our Lady of Loreto is situated on the very top of the hill.
After descending from Mali Bokolj, the trail continues towards the peak of Oštro, and then continues to the peak of Veliki Bokolj via a stone path. Veliki Bokolj offers a stunning view of the island of Pašman and the surrounding islands, the Pašman Channel, Kornati, Vransko jezero, Velebit and many other natural beauties.
