The hiking trail around the island of Ošljak runs through a protected landscape. The entire island is a protected forest park. This moderate trail is 3.3 km long and the hike lasts about an hour. It starts at the central pier and runs around the island. It passes by the local harbour used for smaller boats, windmills that served as mills in the past and a bunker built during the World War II. 

Taking this trail, you will be able to enjoy the scents of island herbs and the beauty of olive groves. This is exclusively a hiking trail. The top of the island is at the altitude of 89 m, and on the way back you can visit the small church of the Assumption of Mary from the 6the century. 

There are no grocery stores on Ošljak, so you need to plan your trip carefully in advance and bring everything you might need with you. The island can be visited all year round and the trail around the island is also always accessible, except in case of adverse weather conditions. Ošljak is a car-free island.
