Bike trail 101, The Trail of Ancient Times (Staza antike), begins in the centre of Ugljan (Lučino selo). The trail is 16.2 km long and it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to ride it and is neither physically nor technically demanding. It runs along the coast towards Muline.
After 0.5 km it passes by the monastery and the church of St. Jerome, the patron saint of Dalmatia. Then, when it reaches the monastery, after 0.6 km, the trail turns towards the forest and follows a dirt road along the sea. After 1.5 km, it joins the paved road and after 1.8 km reaches the Batalaža bay. The trail passes by the bay along the sea and then after 2 km turns slightly to the left and returns to the flat section that leads to Sušica bay. The trail passes by the Sušica bay along the sea. After 3.6 km the trail joins the dirt road that leads through the forest and after 4 km it turns slightly towards Gornje Selo, one of the hamlets on the island of Ugljan. Then, after 4.9 km the trail turns towards the hamlet of Muline.
This section of the trail that runs by the sea is one of the most picturesque on the island of Ugljan. In Muline, there are the remains of an ancient Roman villa, a replica of an ancient mill as well as a magnificent view of the Zadar Archipelago, i.e. the islands Rivanj and Sestrunj. The trail follows the coast and runs along Cape Ovčjak. Eventually, it reaches one of the most beautiful bays on the island of Ugljan called Južna Luka. After 8 km along the sea the trail reaches Dražica bay and continues towards cove called Dražica. After the cove, the trail turns left onto the Put Pavlešine Street, leading uphill through a residential area to the hamlet of Guduće. After 8.8 km, the trail turns right onto Ulica svetog Kuzme i Damjana Street and continues along a straight section through the hamlet of Ljokini. After 10.8 km the trail turns right to a picturesque Lučica and continues along a gravel road through the forest. Then, after 11.7 km the trail turns right to the bay of Suha. At a bend, after 12.6 km, the trail turns left and after 12.9 km the trail turns right and continues straight ahead. Here, the trail passes by the church of St. Hippolytus and St. Cassian.
After crossing the island’s main road (D110), the trail reaches Čeprljanda bay. After 14.9 km the trail returns along the coast to its beginning in the centre of Ugljan.
