The ancient “Strada publica” road stretches from the Tala bay in the direction of the rural and traditional complex known as Trpinjin.
The hiking trail is an excellent achievement of the traditional architecture that connects Mali and Veli Lukoran, but certain parts of the route are much older and date back to the 1st century. The trail has been largely preserved in its original dimensions. The trail is not paved, but it is fully built using the traditional dry stone technique using the local stone. The oldest sections of the road dating back to the antiquity are located at the top of the trail. The basis of the road are the massive dry stone walls (mocire), over which the road was laid. They are up to 1.7 m high and here and there even over 10 m wide.
In the spring, the trail is covered in moss, asparagus and wild cyclamen whose exquisite smell and colours will enchant you.
