The 204 trail is very demanding. The name of the trail is “Hiking Trail over the Highest Peaks”, it is 14.6 km long and it takes 5 hours to walk it from the beginning to the end. The trail begins in Preko, opposite the islet of Galevac, which you can visit by a wooden boat (barkajola). At the beginning, the trail is very easy and runs along the coastline. Then, it passes by the largest sandy beach in Preko – Jaz, and then runs along the coast to a hamlet of Poljana. In Poljana the trail passes by the medieval church of St. Peter. Further on, the trail runs towards Sutomišćica, but it moves away from the coastline and goes through a residential area. In Sutomišćica there are a few spots worth seeing, e.g. the port called Olive Island Marina, the baroque castle “Lantana” and the church of St. Euphemia, the patron saint of Sutomišćica.  

A pleasant walk along the trail takes you to a bay where the picturesque Mali Lukoran is situated, and which hides the villa of the De Ponte family. The trail continues along the cultural-historical paths over the Trpinjin hill and Strada Publica road to Veliki Lukoran, which hides the Renaissance villas and one of the oldest churches on the island, the church of St. Lawrence. From Veliki Lukoran, the trail runs to the hamlet of Turkija, very interesting because of the preserved traditional residential architecture typical for the islands. The ascent to the highest peak of the island, Šćah (286m), begins in Turkija. The path to Šćah runs through the green areas of the island full of native plants. From Šćah, the trail goes over the peak of Plišivac (229 m) along the ridge to the second highest peak on the island called Sv. Mihovil (263 m). The final stage of the circular trail is the descent to Preko. It is not demanding and runs through olive groves to the “Magazin” location opposite to the islet of Galevac.
