Šćah (286 m) is the highest point on the island of Ugljan. It offers one of the most beautiful views of the entire Zadar archipelago, on one side towards Zadar and Velebit, and on the other towards Kornati and the other islands of the archipelago.

Thanks to its dominant position, Šćah had an important strategic position throughout the past, and it was also an important landmark. Just below the top there are the remains of a massive rampart of a prehistoric fortress, and at the very top there are the ruins of an observation tower originating from the Roman era. If you find yourself on one of the neighbouring islands or in the hinterland of Zadar, try to locate Šćah.

The ascent to the 286.1 m high hill begins in the hamlet of Turkija above Lukoran, and the route takes you through the green areas of the island.
