Golubinka sea cave

Golubinka Cave is an amazing natural attraction with a large opening in the ceiling through which sunlight enters the cave. The result of this seductive game of sea, stone and sunlight is an impressive spectrum of colours is created in the cave and that definitely leaves you breathless.

At the end of the cave, there is a small beach which is an ideal spot if you want to take some photos. The safest way to enter the cave is in a kayak, in organised groups. The cave should be entered when the weather is right, without wind and waves. The braver explorers can even jump from a high cliff and swim into the cave through a narrow passage.

The visit to Golubinka cave is not recommended if the wind is blowing and the sea is rough. On the Adriatic coast, during the summer months when the weather is stable, the afternoons are reserved for the north-western wind called maestral. Maestral can cause high waves and therefore, if you plan to visit the Golubinka cave, it is safest to plan such a visit during the stable weather, but in the morning hours.
