Church of Our Lady of the Snows

The Church of Our Lady of the Snows is located in the Ždrelac strait between the islands of Ugljan and Pašman. The feast of Our Lady of the Snow has been celebrated on 5 August since 1514. The interior of the church includes the main altar with four marble columns and a sanctuary. The church has five altars in total: the main one dedicated to Our Lady of the Snow, the patroness of the church and the other four dedicated to the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Assunta, St. Andrew and St. Nicholas. When it comes to its features, the church reflects the baroque style of the 17th century. It represents a valuable cultural monument in this area. Therefore, it was put under the protection of the state in 1982 by the decision of the commission at the Regional Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Split.
