Sušica trail

The Sušica trail offers you a true rest with its wonderful viewpoints and vistas of the islands of the Zadar Archipelago. The trail is 8.7 km long and it takes 2:45 hours to walk it from the beginning to the end.

The trail begins at the Sušica bay. Then it continues to the left along the coast on the gravel road passing by the mosaic bench called Burna where you can take great photos. The trail then runs towards Saint Peter’s Cape (Rt Sveti Petar). In the vicinity of the cape there are remains of the early Christian church of St. Peter, which bears witness to the beginnings of Christianity on the island of Ugljan. This spot offers magnificent views of Rivanj and Sestrunj.

The trail follows the gravel and dirt road for 3.5 kilometres and then returns to the Sušica bay where it turns right on the 7th kilometre towards the hamlet of Gornje Selo, where there is a small medieval All Saints church, hidden in the forest. Then, the trail ascends to the Stražica viewpoint at 47 m, which offers a wonderful vistas and is a great place to take photos. The trail descents from the viewpoint to the Sušica bay, where it ends.

The trail can be walked all year round.
