The parish church dedicated to the conversion of St. Paul is located in the very centre of the village of Kukljica. Before this church was built, this site used to serve as a place of worship in the late Roman or early Croatian period. The church, decayed by the ravages of time, was torn down by the locals that built a new one on the same spot in 1666.
When it comes to its features, the church reflects the baroque style of the 17th century. The interior of the church comprises is a main altar dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, two altars on the right dedicated to St. Paul and Holy Ghost and two altars on the left dedicated to Holy Ghost and Souls in Purgatory. Next to the vestry and to the left of the church, there is a bell tower, the construction of which began in 1741.
